Not making much progress

I'm going to try and post fairly regular updates on my progress getting ready for the Great South Run. There might not always be much to say, but I think it's all part of getting ready.
I managed to get out for a bit nearly every other day (despite locking myself out for one of my planned run days!) I know it's probably early days, but I can't help feeling a bit disappointed it doesn't feel at all like it's getting easier. I just need to give it time. It didn't help that tonight there was a running club coming in the opposite direction that made me feel extremely ungainly. Best not to get caught up in what I look like puffing along the road though.

So this week I have still managed not to buy any new shoes. My brother is advising me I should get it sorted as it makes a big difference. Next week might be the one, although being away at the weekend may hamper those plans.
