The following letter was published in the EDP on the 8th January 2009.
Dear Sir,
The committee Monday evening asked me to voice its concerns about what is happening in Israel and Gaza. Munitions containing phosphor are allegedly being used against the Palestinians and Israel has not denied this. On the BBC news on Sunday morning, it looked as if cluster munitions were also being used. Norfolk CAAT will rightfully continue to ask both sides to lay down their arms and seek a fair and sustainable peace. We realise that America needs to change it's policies for this to happen. We ask our government not to continue to underwrite the British Arms producers with tax payers money and to stop supplying armaments and equipment associated with their delivery to Israel or any other nation or organisation.

I am enclosing a photo taken by M Finn, EDP One
World Columnist, of Lesley Grahame Norfolk CAAT colleague preparing to talk to
the crowd at the Peace event outside the Forum last Saturday. Lesley is a
Diaspora Jew living in Norwich and was one of the Lakenheath 8 who stood out
against the use of cluster bombs and particularly for them being stored at RAF
Lakenheath for deployment in the Middle East.
