Smash EDO May Day Demo

On Mayday Smash EDO are holding a mass street party against war and greed in Brighton see www.smashedo.org.uk/mayday
We are hoping that groups from around the country will organise transport and come to Brighton for the demo. There will also be an Anti Militarist Gathering the weekend before the demo (see http://antimilitaristnetwork.noflag.org.uk/2009/02/22/amn-gathering-1st-march-edinburgh/#more-62)

Support the Decommisioners

Many of you will have heard that during the bombardment of Gaza some concerned people entered the EDO factory in order to 'decommission' the machinery used to make weapon components and hence prevent further Israeli war crimes. Six decommissioners and 3 bystanders were arrested. While seven of the arrestees have been released under strict bail conditions two men from Bristol remain on remand in Lewes Prison. We are calling on everyone to show them as much support as they can.

Please write to them:

Elijah Smith VP7551 - he's moved to HMP Horfield in Bristol, 19 Cambridge Road

Robert Alford VP7552 HMP Lewes, 1 Brighton Road, Lewes, East Sussex BN7 1EA
